Premature engine failure due to lack of tuning? I have a street tune. Yes the PCV hose, When it stops thunder storming I will go check. I guess I will get a pro dyno tune if I check the compression on a different gauge and it is okay. You will see what with the serious engine failure?

No oil from what I could tell on the up IC pipe. The pcv hose from the valve cover to the intake manifold might I couldn't feel any on it either. So Idk.

So I went to the auto parts store and bought a Compression tester. I had a feeling something was wrong with the one I rented.
How about these number: Same way 5 turn overs

1. 170,171,172
2. 168,178,178
3. 170,175,173
4. 177,178,178

I also read somewhere to keep starting until the gauge wouldn't move anymore and I got 190, 190, 190, 190. Thank God the compression is good.
What else could it be? I am going to call and set up an appointment for a pro tune next week I suppose.

lol. I think so too. I guess its going to be pro tune time, I wanted to wait until I got my high flow cat, and recirculated my dump on my wastegate but I guess I need tuned more. lol

No cats at all, and no anti foulers. I am going to get a high flow put in after the secondary 02 sensor.

I have a CEL then it goes away after a day or two. In WV we have a visual inspection on the exhaust. So I figure I can buy a high flow magnaflow for like $100 and have it welded on and be legal. If we didn't have state inspections then I wouldn't car. State inspections are a sham to get money from people. I see 10+ cars a day that should fail and somehow they are still on the road.

I used to get the cel cat code even with an anti-fouler after a couple of days of driving, so I just installed two of them stacked/series and it has not come back after two years of use. Hope that helps. Also like crush mentioned, it's probably tune. Personally, I haven't experienced that kind of misfire problem.

I had .75* of timing pulled at 15 psi-map. I moved it to 0 and so far no issues *knocks on wood*. We will see what happens in the coming weeks.

Let me also guess that sometimes it blows off your PCV hose from head to intake manifold?

Remove that hose and see if oil is present there.

Remove upper IC pipe and see if oil is present there as well.

Chances are you will find traces of it in all places. Welcome to 2007+ premature engine failure due to lack of tuning.

FML........ My cars been doing this for over a year. I never ran w/o a protune thou? Also, i asked my tuner (DynoComp) about it and not starting up on the first try. They said it was due to valve overlap. I kind of figured they were putting me off when i looked it up, because i couldn't find anything close to my symptoms. I'm going to look for oil now. thanks

And there is no way around this?

Yea, not to sure I've ever heard a case of an Ultimate doing this even on an Untuned 07+ tC.
