turbo tc not getting into gears
ok so i had a couple runs 2nite on the new setup against a srt4 making 280whp and 305wtq.
when trying to go from 2nd to 3rd the shifter gets stuck.
we tried that a couple times and i couldnt 4 the life of me switch from 2 to 3 @6100rpm wot
so we went from a 3rd gear roll same thing, couldnt get into 4th
i walked em cause i made more power, but this was really frustrating
i have a comp clutch stage 5 and a f1 racing liteweight flywheel. the clutch doesnt feel like its slipping at all and it goes thru gears fine as long as ur not wot redlining it
the clutch has about 2k miles on it and this is the first time ive raced on it so its not beat the f--- up. please help. oh and im using royal purp synthetic tranny fluid

Cant really help you hear but thought i chip in and say i use to have the same problem. when i was boosted at WOT redline, i couldnt shift from 1st to 2nd but it would shift just fine when not WOT redlining shifting. Then i went back to N/A and it would shift just fine under WOT redline. No idea why i could not get into 2nd when i was boosted. About to get boosted again soon but im throwing in a new tranny this time to make sure my shifts go in.
That and I would also recommend a stainless steel clutch line.
Stock clutch hoses can swell over time and prevent the clutch from being fully disengaged. Stock rubber clutch hoses are weak links.

i was having the same problem but it was and still is 2nd to 3rd and ive just got intake and exhaust and a spec stage 2+ oh yea with twm stage 2 shifter with base and cable bushings its gone away some now ive got about 2k on my ckutch maybe a little less. i think im gonna get the clutch line and slave rod and see what happens if i beat you to it ill let you know how it works
As for the RP tranny oil, you will be fine so long as your using max-gear 75w-90. If your running RP syncromesh then you done fouled up. Change that ish asap. Ive ran RP max-gear in my tranny since the day i bought my car. Never had any issues with it. For my new setup though ill be changing it up a bit and start running Eneos 75w-90 gear oil. Reason for the change is simply because i just wanna try something new. hope that helps
