lol, that would be cool man. What's funny is that on my way back home, a new civic si tried to race me over at lake houston parkway. First time after the third honk I put like 4 cars after like 3 secs (3rd gear roll, 55mph). I was like damn, I though he wanted to race lol. So I slowed down he honked and we went at it again
, omg this time it was even more. He gave me thumbs up and pulled over to have a quick talk, he was praising the car and went on how impressive the acceleration was
Then he mentioned something about having some problems with the meth system on his other car, STI putting down 350whp
. He said he went down to get tunned (using Cobb) over at horsepower factory or something like that. I think I read about it once, but never went to check it out. Have u heard of that place chris?

nice numbers carlos!
nice numbers, self tune ftw.. thats a huge dyno roller btw lol
well the Rican got his first tast of rebuilding a turbo....GOOD JOB BRO!!!!!!!!!
(the reason for the rebuild, not for the faint of heart or small children with laces in their shoes...lmao)

new and old bearing

as you can see oil was cooking pretty bad and we were trying to figure out exactly why it was happening, it was a used turbo so could have been done before.
so the possibilities are
1. not enough idle after a hard run
2. clogged oil feed (i wont mention it...lol)
anyone else have any ideas?

You mentioned pulling 1 degree of timing per PSI and was running 8 PSI on the first dyno sheet. I used the rule of thumb of pulling 1 degree per PSI but not until after 10 PSI. What is your timing setup now out of curiosity.
anyways Carlos has been doing his own tuning and playing around with e85...I give him mad props for going out on his own and experimenting...last time i did anything to his tune was prolly like 6months ago and i had his timeing set to roughly 1degree per psi of boost after6psi (been a while so i could be wrong). Im sure he has since gotten more aggressive with it since blending e85 into the mix.
ooh, playing with E85 is fun.. i have been wasting more money on gas than ever before lol.. looks like he's using his turbo as a barbecue grill on the week ends lol nice to see someone doing their own rebuild..
