Turbo & Wideband question

Turbo & Wideband question
Today i picked up my Dezod Turbo tC, the 1st thing i noticed with my AEM wideband is that the numbers were constantly jumping. I get in my car and all of a sudden the number stays stable at 14.8 , is there anything wrong with my wideband gauge ?
Also i am currently running the Dezod kit, i will be taking it this saturday to get it dyno tuned, but i am having a doubt, is it suppose to make a spooling sound inside the car by the glove compartment ? cause i hear a whistle kind of a spooling sound?
Any other information that you can give me would be most appreciated.

welcome to the world of FI... =o)
remember to baby it for about 3k miles... how soon are ya gonna take it to get dyno'd? I hear a spoolin sound when i go passed 3k rpms but havnent noticed if its coming from the glove box... its a sweet sound... youll get used to it. hows the shifting at mid to high rpms? is it smooth?

I will be dyno tuning it this saturday.
I was alittle concerned today when i was accelerating alittlebit faster while still in vac mode and the car would turn off on me. I dont know if this is normal

It just shuts off when you get on it? Or do you clutch in after making some boost? You're using the HKS bov kit right?

14.8 corrseponds to the 1/4 mile time that will result at that level lol anywayz about the noise from the glove box well thats located closer to the tranny and I know the rally cars you can hear that really loud inside of them even a few of our past cars had whining transmission noises from inside the car

kamitsu crippie is 1up.. im sure he can help you out if not i can take a look also.. i would check your piping for leaks, and your VAC lines.. also you should get tuned asap.. try logging your a/f number while you drive and see were they dip into and let everyone know what the a.f is reading when it turns off.. the spooling sound should be normal from hearing the turbo spool lol.. its a light whistle sound and should be normal.
i would take it back to your installer and let them know whats going on also so they can recheck their steps and diagnose what the problem is.

The AFRs on your wideband are typical. The Toyota stock ECUs stagger all over the place in vac due to closed loop throttle control.
As far as the cutting off, you need be VERY observative to the conditions, throttle, boost (if any) and AFRs. That might be a super lean point on the base map, it could be a clutch in rich spot due to the MAF car....Try to take note as to what is going on at that time D.

Ok the noise coming from the glove box has been fixed , it was a vac line that wasnt zip tied correctly..

Dyno numbers will be posted tommorow.
