Default Turbo XS RFL blow off valve question

do any of you run this bov on your setup and if so how do you like it? i heard one today on a subaru wrx and it did not flutter even once so im wondering if it will flutter on my tc? also i have found an adaptor plate to allow the turbo xs to mount to the hks "ssv" mount. is the ssqv the same thing as the ssv?
here is the link to the adaptor plate

the fluttering sound is most likely the HKS SSQV.

What do you have now?

If i'm on low boost, it's a fluttering sound. If I'm at high boost, it's a whoosh.

I have the SSQV

Large turbos on low boost will flutter under less than WOT conditions. It's just the characteristics of the turbo. Small turbo's don't flutter much at all hence the WRX sounding that way.

It will still probably flutter less than the HKS or TiAL but by how much I can't say.

the "flutter" sound is called compressor surge! there isn't enough vacume to open the bov, so the air backfeeds to the turbine wheel..

Well, i hear that sound, but I also hear my bov whistling when it's doing that. It's not one big whoosh that's all.

i dont have compressor surge, i know what that sounds like. its the physical blow off valve fluttering, no noise from the compressor at all.

Usually a Fluttering sound comes from having a dumped Wastegate, do you know if yours is or not? Also what kinda of Bov are you currently running?

i have an open dumptube on my wastegate. not sure how that would cause the fluttering though.
