when i got my turbo i let someone on the forums put my kit in.. didnt work out so great and i had a shop redue it. as for tuning whomever was asking get a pro tune.. hell not many ppl down here tune scions well.. may have to go up north.

 

LOL im not a kid and MARCELO and b-real both have turbo cars for a while now making sick power . installation is a problem for me but once turbo is in and running i will take it to a dyno place and have it complety tune but for now yes i do trust them

1. I have a custom kit that I pieced together and installed.
2. Rob has a turbonesics kit that he installed himsel. Which is the same kit Johnny has.
3. Rob tuned his own car at 11psi an still running strong up until he got the dezod block. Which there was nothing wrong with his stock block. And rob is not gonna tune himself on 20psi unless he has someone drivigto for him. Lol
4. I tuned my car before I le Luiggi tune my cr and I didn't have any problems. But hen again I was only at 9psi.
5. Your past experiences and you letting the wrong people touch your car is your problem. Just cause it happened to you doesn't mean it happens to everyOne.
6. Just cause you/your mom had to pay loads of money cause you couldn't install our kit by yourself seems like a personal problem to me.

1.cool custom kit, goodjob for installing yourself, i just reinstalled the whole kit myself aswell.
2.im aware rob has turbonetics thank yu
3.rob tuned his car at 11 psi.. nice goodjob.. is the tune good? idk it may or may not be. And rob is going to tune himself with his hydra on 20 psi.. im interested on seeing the power and driveability.
4.anyone can say they "tuned" there own car.. how many can say they made a flawless tune and made power with it. i mean thats what we all want right.. anyone can tune that can read but who can make a flawless ride.
5.i had brett561 do my kit install.. he was just as experienced if not MORE than both of you.
6.your right i couldnt install it myself.. i had no tools back then and probably would have failed but ive learned since.

Ive never seen rob tune.. but imo he's never had any issues. And the fic is prety simple to tune!

I think everyone should move on from this point.. Marcello so you know in the future, i always keep that stuff to PM's to keep the s*** from every starting!

lol lol wow this is better then TV . I’m not here to get 20 psi out of my turbo just a simple 8 to 9 to start with . It is very easy to say you can install a turbo kit that comes ready to bolt on (plug and Play ) I only give respect to Marcelo because his turbo is custom making it harder and required skills then to just plug and play .My turbonetic kit is from a 05 06 and I have a 07 tc so all my parts had to be custom , (fic . harness , maf sensor, all new pipes , ) On top of all of that I’m cutting the down pipe to I can have a separate dump tube . It is very easy to press buy now and get something complete ready to go with all screws all fittings and everything to put it on , Marcelo and I in a way have kits that required more time and effort. I can go to a shop and have someone install everything but I rather get the help from 2 people that have experience 1. turbonetics kit with a fic and installed him self and 2 someone that has a custom kit and can think out side the box and build his own kit with no shop helping .

It is very different when you have to tune the car and yes there might be people out there with way more experience in tuning then us but I only asked help to INSTALL kit and have a simple tune not to be making 400hp out the door.

Chad - please don't sh*t on my thread. I've been nothing but tolerant of you.. regardless of the crap you talk. So please.. keep it to yourself or make your own thread.

As for my tune - it's been rock solid. STFT/LTFT are within +/- 5% and WOT is 11.5 - just the way I want it. And by the way - this is with a 3" intake pipe with MAF on 3" pipe.. Yes - as Mike has said the FIC is EASY to tune if you know what you're doing. I'll be more than happy to share my map with him.

As for the Hydra, I already got my car idling on 840cc injectors - but I'm back on FIC now to finish breaking the car in. Then I'll dyno the car at 15psi with the FIC and switch. I'd like to see what the potential will be switching to Hydra so I'll keep it at same psi to see how much a standalone can squeeze compared to a piggyback.

Chad - installing a turbo kit isn't hard. I'm sorry you've had so many problems but bro, not everyone has had as much problems as you. Don't assume that if someone isn't a "shop" that they can't install a turbo kit. Get your head out of your butt.

Johnny - you do what you want. I can tell you that Marcelo and I will be nothing but honest with you. If you want to listen to people like Chad, by all means go ahead. It won't hurt me one bit. I'm here for the hobby - and I'll help out anyone who asks. It's my nature.

Like i told you before rob i would not ask you or marcelo if i knew you guys were as$holes.I read all your threads including marcelos and all you are trying to do is help.
