hey guys, just to give you a headsup...tuning a tC isnt magic. It honestly shouldnt matter if the guy has tuned a tC before or not. If he is a modern day tuner, all ECU's are self correcting now a days and anyone with variable valve timing and OBD 2 setups will all be self correcting. Any ECU that cannot be reflashed will run into the same tuning issues. As long as the tuner is familiar with tuning cars from the last couple manufacturing years, he should be able to put down a sufficient tune for you...just keep that in mind
True. And my tuner HAS put down a sufficient tune. It just isn't as good as the tunes I've seen on guys who are familiar with the tC.
About the standalone, as long as your tuner is familiar with it, it will ALWAYS be better to go full stanndalone. You just have more controll over everything. And price wise, my AEM F/IC plus harness came to $700. Dezod has the AEM Stanndalone WITH harness and some other goodies for $2K. If I had known that at the time, I would have held off, saved another grand and got that instead.

guys...question for the masses....my tc keeps compensating for my tune on the emanage after the car is turned off for more than two hours...
here is how i solve the problem but its a pain...
i have to run the car on the stock ecu completely and then let it reconfigure its settings, then i can turn the car off, plug in my emanage, and the car will run off the emanage and runs great....but if i leave the car off for two hours, then it will reconfigure itself to compensate for the emanage....any ideas?

scion04xb? is that ira?
one, did you check to make sure the jumpers on your emanage are set correctly? did you get it new or used?
Sound like the problem is in your emanage.
Oh, and that stage 0 just has not gotten tuned yet or larget injectors cause we are still looking for a good tC tuner in Vegas. Mine did mine OK, but i still need it retuned.
We're talking about gettin tobi from colorado to come down, but he has not returned my emails, so I'm going to try and call him this week.
