upsetting AFR numbers
i finally insatlled my wideband gauge and got some interesting yet upsetting numbers. i see what everyone is talking about closed loop its constantly adjusting for 14.7. but partial throttle as soon as i hit boost it goes right for 12 maxxing out at 13.6. not too bad. but at full boost 6psi WOT it stays right around 14.0 which is waaayyy to high. no wonder ive had such high egts. right now im not running any management, i just have the zpi stg 0 maf pipe which they told me was good for 6psi. def getting the emanage soon so i can richen that up a bit.
The indication from the manufacturer and other was that Stage-0 had AFR of 12's at WOT -Rich! Engine management is recommended to 'take fuel out' for a better tune.
Why is ZEROmotorsports getting 14 AFR at WOT?
Could this be because the AFR info came from dyno pulls at WOT . A dyno run is like 5-7 seconds the engine is constantly accelerating there is no steady-state.
Can you add fuel with emanage all by itself? I thought you only could add fuel if installed bigger injectors?

Are you getting any backfiring while at idle ever?? I get numerous backfiring at idle. This indicates that my tune is very rich but I was just wondering if you had the same condition at idle. Also what turbo are you using?? The maf reads a certain way depending on how it is positioned and if the ecu has a different long term fuel trim then the regular stage 0's then your AFR will be different. Also what is your fuel pressure at when at WOT?? To me this sound’s like you are losing fuel or your long term fuel trim is changing as you get into boost. The stock ecu should only get richer when more air is coming in.

is there anyone thats actually running a wideband on their stage 0? It seems like nobody really knows real time A/F ratios aside from what ZPI speculates out cause the people buying the stage 0 kit without an EMS are probly to cheap or uneducated to also buy a wideband unless someone has already yelled at them about getting one
I had the PLX500 wideband(the digital one that reads egt,a/f and knock and plugged directly into the the downpipe) in my car and it wasnt until 11psi that it started to lean out(12.0). however I am 4000ft above sea level so mine naturally ran rich. Hope this gives you some kind of idea.

do you have the fuel pressure regulator hooked to a vac/boost port?

That was before management. I later went to unichip with a custom tune from ForceFed Racing. If you already have the pulley just buy the stage 2 unichip from FFR and plug it in. No slpicing, no special harness just pug it in and go. And you'll probably make upwards toward 240whp or event 250 like I use to on 91 octane.
I have also seen a similiar setup on a different car with a "stage 0" turbo kit running those same afr's I have the dyno sheets to back this up.
Edit/P.S. The "custom MAF pipe that is "calibrated" for the turbo" is BS.
