Last time I checked the t/c vortech blower, v5, was good for 20 psi max. I looked on the vortech site today and they have downgraded it to only 14 psi max. Anyone else notice this?

Last year I was thinking about getting the V5 G-trim, since it's supposed to be an upgrade to the TRD F-trim. I checked out Vortech's site a few weeks ago and it looks like the F-trim is now better than the G-trim.


Doesn't make sense why they would change things like that.

 

It does make sense if you look at the fact that they changed the maximum boost rating on the superchargers. Each unit is most efficient in a certain pressur and cfm range. For example if you look at the graph our v5 blower isn't as effiecient as it can be at just 7 psi.
