I need a donor to donate stock engine mounts for the A/T. If not, someone lead me to a OEM retailer that sells the mounts.

I know reputable manufacturers that can make the mounts in a fast and timely manner. They need a set of stock mounts. The "donor" will be in for a huge discount for the production set, if not free.

Again, this is for A/T mounts. Speed Source already makes M/T versions. If there is interest for a M/T version from my manufacturer, please PM me. But lets get the A/T version down first for everyone to see.

These mounts come with a lifetime warranty. There will be several options to choose from. They will come in powdercoated (color of choice) steel or billet aluminum form. Also, there will be street, race, and extreme versions. Poly ratings for street=60A, Race=75A, and Solid Xtreme=85A.

 

Are the MT different then the Auto?
Will these be full replacements, or just inserts, or like Speed Source where the front is a full replacement and the rear is an insert?
And what price are these going for?

I have the speed sorce mounts on my MT and we looked at my buddies AT and his fronts look identical. Havent' tried them yet, and I haven't even pulled my back one out yet.

Really, I'm just wondering if the Auto and Manual mounts are different.

 

I AT are different then the MT I tried asking speedsource mount and they said that it wouldnt work I would like to get some and be the donor but my TC is my daily and I cant afford to have it out of commision

 

mospeed, when did you speek with Speed Source?
I spoke with them 2 weeks ago and they said they were not sure if they were different because they did not have any AT mounts to test with. That is why amdforever and I were going to test them out.

After I pull mine out, I will let everyone know if they are infact different, unless someone already has more accurate information.

 

in my experience with other cars, the front, rear, and passenger are sometimes the same. its the transmission mount that is different.

there will be 4 pieces to be developed. Front, rear, passenger-side (maybe, i havent looked at it yet), and transmission. The kit will consist of FULL replacement mounts, not inserts. But cannot guarantee this until i see the mounts in my hand.

Is there a parts store that sells these mounts? cuz i'm starting to think that there arent any auto owners that will have their stock mounts out.

If any manual owners are interested, i can get them made also.

Again, I can't stress enough how good the quality of these mounts are. I'm personally running them in my RSX and tons of other boosted S's are running them successfully at the track. the street 60A kit is durable enough for 400hp.

 

to my understanding, there are only 4 in the tC. The 2 side ones actually hold the engine. Then there is the front, and the rear one IS the one that connects to the transmision. But I could be wrong, as I have not done my rear yet. I beleive it is closer to the driver side.

 

on top of the auto tranny, u can see the mount.not sure about the manual trans.

That's because ZPI doesn't make any products, they put their name on other peoples products. I believe it is TurboToyotas (Todd/Why Industries) that has some mounts in the works that ZPI was going to sell as their own. Try contacting Todd directly to see if he is going to sell his mounts from his own website.

 

not everything they do is rebranded, and dont tell me you have never seen another company do this. MAJOR MAJOR corp. do this everyday.

Um, I heard the same thing about zpi's motor mounts.

 

How am I "butting in" when he makes a comment about ZPI motor mounts taking too long to come out and I tell him to go to the guy who was making the mounts for ZPI?
