Default Wastegate Problems - HELP ME !! TURBO MASTERS !

ok guys ... i have a problem..

saturday morning i am supposed to take the car to get tuned.

before i take the car to get tuned, i need to have my wastegate hooked up properly, so here is the situation,

right now my wastegate is hooked up to a vacuum line, which i know it shouldnt be...

my first question is: where are your guys wastegate line hooked up to on your tc's ?

my wastegate has a 7.7 psi spring. i intend to run off that until i get a really nice boost controller, like the apexi or greddy one i have been eyeballing.

right now the wastegate doesnt appear to be working properly. i figure this much because it's not hooked up properly, this is my first time messing with my own turbo installation, so i am learning here. and asking for your guys advice on this.

now, when i purchased the turbo from the shop, it never came with a bung or a tip welded on for me to hook it up to the wastegate, the guy at the shop told me i needed to drill a hole into the compressor housing and use a die tap to thread the hole i drilled, and screw in the nipple to run the line from the turbo to the wastegate.

i hope i'm explaining it correctly, if not help me out !

anyways, i really dont feel comfortable drilling holes in to my turbo compressor housing and tapping it to screw in a nipple, since all the wastegate needs is a line to measure the pressure the turbo is making,
would it be ok to drill and tap die a small hole into the intercooler piping and run that line to the wastegate ?

i mean essentially, it's only 3 - 4 inches away fro mthe copressor housing and it would make things much easier, i'm just not sure if there is an easier way to do this ..

help !

what kit do you have? Can you take some pics of how you have it currently? Pics of the wastegate and vac lines? You should have the wastegate connected to a vac source.

Yeah, I don't know what that guy's talking about, but mine is hooked up to a vac line. Is it an internal or external WG? What type of WG is it?

We need to see pics.
