screw you toyota.....screw you. theres one 10mm bolt holding the timing chain guide to the head at the very bottom. if i would have know i was gonna have to pull the timing cover i would have just pulled the whole motor. oh well, looks like itll be down for the weekend. gonna have coryjames bring a motor lift over and im yanking that homo out. i should have done it this way in the first place. it takes me 2 hours if that to pull my motor compared to going on 8 now just to get the head off. toyota...what the ****

its actually pretty simple...except for that one bolt haha....oh and the chain tensioner. pulling the motor from the get go is now the only way to do a head gasket job.
you can pull it i went over to help got it taken care of its a pita you know like just bad placement lol. rolling over tomorrow night to help him get back on the road no detonation pits no scars just sexy built motor,
i just ran in to the same problem ive been runing my car for about 10k now and never retroqued my apr head studs and i just ckecked my oil and its milkly on the dipsit so im hopping all is ok cuz i didnt have any smoke out the exhaust yet

mine was opposite.....no coolant in the oil but tons of white smoke and running hot.
