What header is everyone using w/ the TRD S/C??
Since there is a new price drop, im really close to getting the TRD Supercharger, i was wonder which header is everyone rolling with?? I currently have Alphawerks, will i have any clearance issues with the shaft of the S/C?? Thanks
No, mine just happened to be off a little bit, so it was a temporary fix, and Ive been trying to get MMW to replace it ever since, but they seem to be ignoring me. I have pics of what it looks like/what damage it did, but on my other comp ill post them later on tonight so you can check it out.
Im pretty sure they are still the same as the piece that I got. I think mine was just a luck of the draw kinda thing, because Weapon-R makes the Header/s-pipe by hand... allowing for slight varriences in assembly im sure.
If you are going to get/change your header make sure you do it before installing the s/c because it will be damn near impossible to get one off/on after the s/c is installed.

yeah i do plan on doing that, with your experience with MMW.....i mean i read a lot about it but i wanna hear from people who actually own it and not going by dyno's....do you have a lot of low end power? and does the S/C balance it out because the S/C's power runs in the high end?? reason why i ask is because i have the AW, its great n all but i rather have low end torque since im a DD....
^ very good question. im also thinking about getting the S/C now due to the price drop. I was thinking about running the megan header with it though. Anyone with the megan header and the S/C setup?
its a good idea to wrap it or coat it, or just get the dc's they are ceramic coated. i believe a good deal of seals have gone due to heat soak from the header. i dont think id get a header if i were supercharged
I did hear of a problem with the heat from the header harming the seals in the supercharger being as there no heatshield to block any of the heat coming off of an aftermarket header
Im running the strup header w/ jethot. No problems with that setup. That darn header gets really hot even if you have jethot ....the stock header gets hella hot also. The s/c likes the header because its allows the car to breathe better. Also - the s/c did make the car feel better when driving.
