Ive seen people spray the header w/ that spraypaint kind of stuff then wrap it. Thats another alternative. I think the spray is under $10 - you cant compare that to jethot because its only on the ouside and not both but I would assume its better then doing nothing.

9 times outta 10 the wrap suggests the use of the spray in conjunction with the wrap itself, but its really just another way to squeeze every last cent outta ya. bottom line, anything silicone wont hold up to the direct heat of the exhaust gas running though header causing it to burn off and you to reapply and reapply and reapply and reapply and...well you get the point

I have DC header, it have ceramic coating. I am trying to wrap it. How hard is it to wrap it without taking it off?

^ easy - just wrap it hehehe. But you dont want to over wrap it because its already ceramic coated. Just lightly wrap it just on the top part

hmm i guess this will be by next project. I hope it isn't too hard with the header already installed. Also do you have to really wait overnight to let it dry before you can spray it?

you dont spray a ceramic coated header .... you normally dont wrap one either ...thats the reason why its ceramic (so it doesnt hold as much heat) - but if he was to wrap it I said to only use a lilttle so he doesnt crack the header ...its bad to overwrap ...some people just layer it and layer it and layer it thinking they are doing justice. Nomatter what the header will get darn hot. Just because things are very hot doesnt mean they will mess anything up but if you didnt wrap it or didnt get jethot or didn't get a ceramic header things will be even hotter (which will have you long term damaging effect if you had a supercharger shaft sitting right next to it).

^ i dont know the correct answer to that. i would assume people do but most people who get the ceramic header are getting it because they are doing that instead of jethot

very nice and clean looking!

personally im torn between SC and TC right now... i still have a ton of warranty left on my tC so i might go SC once they drop the 07 price, then TC once my warranty's up (LONG time) but as people say - power is addicting, and id probably go TC as soon after SC as possible, warranty be damned!
