Well I have been running my turbonetics setup with nothing but problems for about 1.5 yrs now and am reaching 33,000 miles. I put this here because I am boosted and thought it may be related to the snail bolted onto my engine.
I have gone through 1 turbo for sure and I think the seals are going on my current one also seeing how I was about 3 quarts low... meaning 1 qt of oil was in there (until I replaced it today).
The true dilemna comes with my power steering fluid. I have none...
when I say none I do not mean I am at low, I mean the tank is EMPTY. I don't know what happened but I realized something was wrong at the beginning of the summer when at around 20k I was running at the low line on the reservoir. After replacing all my fluids about 3000 miles ago, my brake fluid is fine, tranny fluid is looking good, oil is low, and power steering is non existant.
My car being in its current state, I really don't trust dealerships with it unless I can get my friends at Colonial Scion or Balise Scion to take a look at it (which will most likely cost me an arm and a leg). That is why I have turned here.
Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue may be? I don't want to hear "take it to the dealership" because that is what I will do if I hear nothing from you guys. Just wanted to cover my bases before I went and spent unnecessary funds to have a tech tell me what you could here.
Also, if there is a way to prevent this issue in the future, I would greatly appreciate your insight on that also.
For the time being I will be looking for the leak and trying to get it fixed, I would just want to avoid this situation again if possible
I am going to be scrapping the t-netics setup for a more reliable setup in the next month (waiting on my manifold)

My friend who used to work at Toyota mentioned to me as soon as I got my car to be weary of the power steering. In response to this (because he was right about my solara motor sludging up) I told him to shut up. I haven't had a problem with mine yet, however apparently some do since that is something he told me about right off the bat. The reason being was that they tend to crud up with dirt or something like that. I can get the specifics for you if you want. Just PM me or let me know.

Yea... I just need to find a time to check for the leak. It's good to hear that it isn't a boost related issue (i don't know how it could be). If it is just a common issue, I am sure I can get it done under warranty then.
