Default will an 07 and up intake mani fit a 05?

As the title states. I purchased another intake manifold to replace my broken one and didnt realize there was a difference in them till i got my new one. they seem to be exactly the same except for the newer ons have a slightly different TB flange than the older ones. I test fitted the throttle body and it seems to fit just fine but need to know if theres a specific reason there is a difference in em. Also the newer ones have another vacuum port for something. not sure what though.

yes it will, the difference ur talking about is a niple that goes from the throttle body to the mani (07 up), while in ur 05 the throttle body sucks air from the atmosphere and there's no niple in the mani. Get rid of that little black box thingy and hook the hose straight to the mani. Better design and u will be sucking filtered/metered air.

thanks for the info. I will definently go with that route instead. Looks like this mistake in wrong parts turned out to be for the best.

Hook the hose to str8 to the manifold where? I always wondered what the hell that lil black box was for.

^^ if you look at the 07+ intake mani youll see the extra vacuum port near where the TB hooks up to that the 05-06 mani's dont have. its where the hose is coming off of in the pic

I know. I just always wondered what the black box was for? And If I wanted to hook up that line to a vacuum what would the outcome be?

It's probably some thing to let the air in but not out maybe? I wanna try putting it together with the other vacuum sources maybe I'll get a better vacuum. I tried to even look for it on the shop manual and it's shows it but doesn't say what it is.

Definently not this. I already checked this out and its free flowing either way. I still say its just a little filter.
