sounds good? should i have a lower psi? and again... this is just starting off.

when i get more upgrades like the gauges, bov, and full exhaust, i'll have it retuned again for sure. to 8-9 psi probably.

i also read on the a/t turbos sticky that a/t with 8psi and tranny cooler should be cool right?

Yes, you will want to start saving right away for upgrades to you tranny. Also, i would wait until you have gauges, and a little extra " kick around money ". Turbo's are sometimes a little more than just a bolt on affair. stuff sometimes goes wrong.
