This is one heck of a can of worms.

You are going to get two sides just as you suspected. When it comes down to it. Its up to you.

See my signature. We are here Mon-Fri 9AM-7PM EST

We are turning kits around in 2 weeks or so. The cues build up quick though.

supposedly zpi has kits in stock but it seems like every single person they sent one out to in the past week has been missing stuff, such as manifolds, piping, i think even a turbo...I mean, yea they are shipping stuff, but the stuff thats not getting included in the kit is major stuff not just couplers or a few hose clamps etc. The Dezod kit is always a full kit and if its gonna ship seperately in different boxes Paul or Joe will tell you so its not some big surprise. I have been dealing with Paul from Dezod over the past few months, and let me just tell you it has been nothing but great experiences and I would reccomend anyone to purchase from them. The ZPI kit is a nice kit I guess if you go with the stage 1, but stage 0 is crap if you ask me...I have had to work on one for a friend and I was disgusted with the quality of the kit itself.

Just a little FYI for those of you that don't understand such as the post above. The missing parts are DROP SHIPPED and do NOT come directly from ZPI themselves. This includes the actual turbine from ZPI's distributor. Just thought I would clarify this for you.

Stage 0's and Stage 1's come from the same components. One is better than the other due to additional "GO FAST" goodies, not because the QUALITY is different. To which the Quality speaks for itself.

If the Dezod turn around time is avg. of 2 weeks, and Kenny says they have kits in stock and is giving you the same avg turn around time, then YOU SIR have a decision to make. Just take your time, find what fits your budget...and go for it. Remember though....you have to pay to play.

Oh, almost forgot

GO BIG, OR GO HOME!

I personally like the EVO 3 GT over the T3/T4 turbo however after getting their stage 1 kit 4 months later after ording it; it was rather disappointing.
My kit is missing the oil pan. I was missing the turbo manifold but that just came in today. I was suppose to get basicly a smaller intercooler since I don't want to remove my bumper beam; but they sent me their standard one anyway. I wanted to make sure they made the custom intercooler before they shipped the kit but after my kit was shipped that's when they finally emailed me and told be it would cost a lot more for the custom intercooler. The whole reason why I went with their stage 1 kit instead of the stage 0 was because I was told it would have been no problem to make a custom intercooler and I wasn't told of any extra charge only that it would take a couple of weeks to make. I told Kenny about this after making up my mind to send the kit back; he said he will take care of it and I won't be charged for the new intercooler. The intercooler they did send me was damaged due to lack of packaging and of course fedex. They didn't send an invoice for what's suppose to be in the kit so I'm not sure if I have all the hardware needed. The bolts they sent were basicly your typical cheap bolts you get from advance auto parts that aren't graded for high hear temps so they'll probably rust to the manifold and end up breaking off later on down the road. By the looks of it; this turbo is meant to be water cooled as well as oil cooled however they sent no lines or hardware for me to hook it up to the coolant system. In most kits they have a waste gate dump tube; this one doesn't which I dislike. The welding is a little poor and inside the manifold needs to be cleaned up and smoothed out for it to flow nicely. By the looks of it they were in too much of a hurry to get these kits out instead of taking their time to do them right. Other than that it's not a bad kit; I know it's not worth 4K though; 3K sure but not 4 so if you can make a deal with Kenny for him to sell it to you for around 3K go for it.

Sounds like someone didn't do their homework before buying a turbo kit. If you would have done your homework, you would have known that the kit is an OPEN WG kit. If you don't like it loud, then you should have went with the much less audiable kits such as Tnetics. It dosen't sound like you asked for any sorta coating to be done before you had it shipped, or maybe you forgot to mention it. However, the welds hold up just fine, and so do the bolts. Take note of the post made right before yours in that some parts of the kit are Drop Shipped, therefore are recieved probably a day later than the package from ZPI. I have the same Stage 1 kit, with the SAME bolts, don't know if you have been around long enough to see what I do to other respectably fast cars on the street, but I have never poped a bolt period. I have NEVER experienced HIGH temps on my turbo, and it's NOT water cooled. Until you feel the performance difference in a T3/T4 vs. a 16G, you will quickly change some of your opinions. The SAME log styled manifold shipped with your kit, is the SAME log styled manifold on ALL the ZPI kits, and the kit as a Whole has been proven to produce some of the HIGHEST whp/tQ #'s of any of the kits here. Just by merely glancing at a manifold in raw form does not constitue the "flow" characteristics of it.

Take Note:

YEP, I think it's worth 4k and then some when you can smash on cars like that on a mere 8 PSI of boost.

"By the looks of it?" What looks would that be to make it "look" like it should be water cooled, and that it somehow changed aspects/specs. from all the other 16G's running around? Did you ask for Water coolant Lines? I'm a little confused, could you PM me for clarification.

It's not worth $4k when it's faster than Tnetics kit which cost $4k+ If they sold that Kit for $3k dollars, they would go out of business.....Take that back, you would NEVER see your kit, as everybody and their Grandparents would be wanting a Stage 1 kit for $3k dollars.

ME STRONG LIKE BULL.....Tuned by (as I have grown acustom to calling him) the good DR. Strikler himself. Been boosted since last year. Only thing stopping the kit from being perfect, is that you get a CEL light from running no Cats. I am about to fix that though. I just got some Non-Foulers and will be equipping them on my 02 sensors.

Never had my kit shipped. I only live 3 hrs from ZPI, what's the point.... Plus I enjoy getting rides in 400+whp Scion tC's when I go up there. Makes you have sexual thoughts about a car...

I ordered my kit just a few months after kaeon's review and the wastegate was routed to the down pipe.
