If you didn't order it that way, then consider yourself "Special" my friend. Every Stage 1 kit owner out there has a 95% higher probability of having and open WG than a re-routed one. As this is what Kenny see's fit to equip on his kits.
And once you here an Open WG in person, trust me dude, you wouldn't want it to be closed (then again, you could have one of those states where Cops give you hell about your car).
Misti (my fiance and ISmokeGuys on SL) swore up and down that she did not want an Open WG on our car. She hated it being that loud. I was on the other side, and wanted it loud. Kenny provided the "tie-breaker" and made it Open. And she loves every bit of that NASTY...."MOVE B!TCH, GET OUT DA WAY" Noise that it makes. I get compliments even from dudes that drive 548whp Civics in my town, on how our cars sounds like a monster.
So what do you do with an open dump waste gate? I don't want the noise and I don't want to smell exhaust when I roll down my windows.
Most importantly I live where they have emission testing via OBDII scanning. I was planning on installing a cat down-stream of the s-pipe like some of the guys with headers have done. Everyonce in a while on the on-ramps they setup smog sniffers and cameras so if you have emission issues with your car they will not renue your tags until you get it fixed and have to show compliance.

You have 3 options for the WG:
1) leave it open if you want to sound like a BEAST
2) Get a pipe welded on that extends from the WG (the longer the pipe, the more silent the WG gets, but still louder than re-routing it).
3) Get a welded pipe to make it go back into the exhaust system (re-route), most noise reducing of all 3 options, and probably more enviromentally friendly.
We have emissions here too, but depending on which station you go to, you can squeeze through, without them saying much to you. Having a little extra cash on you can help also...
Just to clarify some things that are lingering around:
As you may or may not know we shipped somewhere around 27 turbo kits and 15 or so upgrade kits in one day. The reason some of the parts where dropped shipped was due to the logistics of getting all the parts here and then to you, our customers. The only items drop shipped where heavy items such as turbos and manifolds.
We have all of our turbos taken apart and checked prior to shipping due to bearing issues that have surfaced. This takes a little more time as me demand the best quality for our customers and hold our vendors accountable. The items may arrived a day or two later than your kit depending on location. We tried to 3 day or 2 day shipping where needed to make these packages arrive at the same time but due to UPS and FedEx locations and rural routes etc.we did not perfect this and some of you received them later, thinking that we forgot them!
Our turbo manifolds are precision machine tig welded as illustrated below in the pic. The inside of the manifold can be smoother, you are correct. We double weld them for strength; we offer a 5 year warranty on the manifold and do not want to see it again after you get it. The manifold has the highest flowing turbo outlet of any log out there for the tC I guarantee it and would be willing to donate one for any one to test.

The question of whose turbo kit to buy is a tough one. I am confident that we have delivered and have on the road more turbo kits than anyone but I am sure Turbonetics is closing in. We did have a year jump on everyone so this is something to consider. I know for a fact that we have physically boosted more tC’s than anyone in this entire country and our customers continue to have the fastest tC’s at the track as well as our shop street car has yet to be beaten with a bolt on kit in ET or MPH.
The things to look at when getting a kit is support, not just who answers the phone the fastest but what they have to say. If you have a situation or question that is off the wall can they answer it? What is the product support from a technical side? In my opinion the 4 most popular kits on this site are similar in a lot of ways.
Below is my impression of all the kits. I know I make one so you will think this is partial but I am being pretty honest as to what I think so take a look.
Turbonetics: Big company, badass warranty that no one else in the industry can offer. Popular turbo configuration, maker of a kazillion turbo parts, high priced but makes their product line a premier line. Have heard stories of unreal customer support including flying techs to locations to help with an install issue, I would say first class support and product. Downside being Unichip can only be tweaked by Unichip dealer. They can corner the market on price and the kit is what it is with no end user customization your kit will look like everyone else. Stock seems to be pretty good quick delivery time.
Greddy: Big Business again. Lack of support in my opinion, they send emanage questions to us on a weekly basis. Good turbo, great manifold design, internal wastegate which will hurt power and limit end user at some point in their horsepower quest. Top notch products. All Greddy no product mismatching kit comes bare, end user will need to purchase some additional items to truly enjoy their turbo experience. I am not sure on stock I think they are behind on orders.
Dezod: smallest company on the list, seem to have good support. No physical location yet to my knowledge at this time solely an internet only business. Use quality Turbonetics turbo who is also on this list. Tial BOV good quality we have seen some issues on the tC with this one, but they say it’s working correctly. I have not heard if this is correct either way. Not sure on their pricing I think it is close to the Turbonetics kit with similar components but lack the Turbonetics warranty.
ZPIracing: obviously our favorite kit...
Medium size company: We have had our kit out the longest and subsequently our customers have waited the longest. Our shipping has sucked for a long time. I am confident we have some of the best tech support as we have solved dilemmas for customer with every kit on this list. We use a EVO III turbo that has generated blazing fast tCs at the track and the street. Our Stage 0 is the cheapest entry level kit on the market allowing the tC owner to bolt on 100whp for 2600. Our Stage 1 is equally priced with Turbonetics and Dezod. We offer a 5 year warranty on the manifold and one year defect on the turbo. Turbonetics blows this away we know this and well it sucks. We do offer I think the most customizable kit on the market and you can always send the car here for us to build anything you can dream…
Sound Performance: Do not know much about this kit. I know at some point they where using an Alpha Werks manifold I am not sure if that is still the case. I do like the return fuel system, I do not like the S-AFC. I am not sure what they use for BOV or wastegate I am confident it is high quality. I again do not know what turbo they use I think a similar turbo to Dezod and Turbonetics. I know these guys do install their own kit so they offer that above.
This is my opinion that is it. I am not trying to slam anyone as I have listed good and bad about all companies including mine. These are just things I think people should take in to consideration when spending 4k plus. I think the Greddy turbo kit and ours are similar and the other three are similar. It comes down to what you want. We use a smaller turbo for spool and midrange power, they use a big turbo for top end power. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you want.

I do not feel we are necessarily SMALL. I would say we are medium, but defintiely not large. We have a small sales force for support and service, couple of people in accounting, but a ton of guys that work part time and behind the scenes to make stuff happen with lighting speed and precision (fabrication, inventory, shipping, receiving...)
We use a Turbonetics T3/T04B custom built turbocharger, which carries a warranty from Turbonetics as long as it was purchased through an authorized dealer, which we are.
We use several quality components such as TiAL wastagates (not low quality knock off brands), bar and plate intercoolers, 304 stainless steel for the charge pipes, downpipe, s-pipe and manifold, t-bolts & 4 ply silicone couplers and RC injectors (not modified OEM). On a final note, our manifolds are hand TIG welded with thick walled 304 stainless steel and VERY thick flanges. We have yet to have one fail on ANY of our turbo kits (D17, tC or any custom kit built).
**Also we offer Jet Hot coating to help keep form, function and engine bay temps down a bit. (we are a JH dealer)
Last, but not least, our kit pricing is priced competitively at $4265 for our entire kit with all and a plug and play E-manage.
Now our information is correct.

I think we all know of what is provided in each of the kits: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=130799
So, I think everyone is pretty safe from "rumors".
wow... for starters the originator of this post, Kenny gave you that deal for a reason, of what reason I am not sure but I am sure he didn't want you posting it for the whole world to see. For that you may cause ZPI lots of issues for any one who reads this post. I think that deal should now be revoked and givin to me
If you're not inteligent to think of the reasons that you could potentially cost ZPI lots of money and time you are on your own I do not want to talk to you
Secondly, why are you even asking the people on this forum about which kit to get? You called ZPI, talked to Kenny, Negotiated a price, were happy with the price, then all of a sudden you're going to say, "Oh I don't know if I should get your kit or not." That is a metaphorical slap in the face for Kenny. Why would you waste a busy mans time like that?
Then upon showing interest in the kit you open a thread where, unless you are a total retard, you are aware that this will become a ZPI slam fest with no real info being exchanged.
here's my two cents. You called ZPI for a reason. You talked to Kenny for a reason. You negotiated the kit price for a reason. You settled on a kit price for a reason. AND THAT REASON IS PROBABLY THIS: YOU LIKE THE FRIGGIN KIT!!!!
So stop whining by the kit and start smiling because boost is always better
and quite frankly no one else's boost is comparing right now. And any company that says they are comparing is blowin smoke up your ****!!!
P.S. Anything I said can and probably is offensive. But thats life so I'm sure everyone will get over it

Sounds like you are telling him to wake up and smell the folgers in his cup...
Side Note: ZPI (Kenny) is always cutting deals left and right. That's what he likes to do, builds customer loyalty.

That's why I was saying it wasn't going to matter, about him telling what his "deal" was. Although, I do agree, that he should have kept the numerical figures to himself.

There was something I forgot to mention, for those that were unaware:
if you choose to re-route you WG back into the Exhaust, you will loose HP. You will see more whp by running an open WG vs. a closed. Kenny said he has seen as much as a 40whp loss by re-routing the WG (don't remember if that was on a tC or not though). But you do sacrafice whp for the sake of being quiet. Also to mention that if you do run Open, it will not be loud under normal driving. You can drive the car and make the BOV go off, and get all the normal turbo spooling (Cool Sounds) without ever making the WG sound off. Only time the WG will sound is if you are giving it HELL and Open the Throttle up.
