Zpi stage 0
alright guys my friend wants a zpi stage 0 kit and he found one for cheap but the mani was cracked. i was wondering whats a good replacement mani for it since zpi isnt around anymore and where can i get it. and second do u need fuel management for the zpi kit?
Like someone should sticky my answer to this question as I have answered it 20 times now.
You don't need to replace it at all.
Step 1: Take the manifold to an shop
Step 2: Have them weld the crack
Step 3: Have them cut the center of the exhaust flange from the top center (Front to Back), and then down to the center of the flange, but not all the way to the center. Make another cut from the bottom, same way, and up to the center, but not all the way. The two cuts should not connect.
Problem DONE, Solved, No more cracks period.

how would that keep it from cracking? wouldnt that make it more plyable to crack again? or even more? what if it cracked somewhere else. not at where the manifold attaches to the head. what if it cracked on one of the tubes?

No, the cut relieves the stress produced on the welds. I have had it like this for half a year almost. Before the cut, I had to get the manifold welded up like 2 times. After I took it to Kenny, they had figured out how to keep them from cracking, hence the cut. After the cut, never cracked again.
awesome. well the guy thats selling the kit has already had it rewelded so now just cut it like you said and everything will be A ok? also about the engine management. will this kit need it? also the guy thats selling it said that it ran lean and thats what caused it to heat up so much so on cool down it cracked. is this posssible or true?
here is the link to the pics of it. they are crappy but u can see the damage.

So i built my own stage 0 setup with a t3/t4 using meth inject. As for fuel management, when i was running just under 5 psi, it ran ok without it for temporary, it was safe but, once adding the fic, injectors, and tuning it before even moving up boost wise the difference performance wise was incredible. Getting management is well worth it, unlike others, im not going to say youll blow your car up if you dont have it, but i will say its well worth it and for someone serious about boost its a must have along with a wideband of course

IMO it looks like one. this is the link to the friend that posted up the turbo kit for sale for the friend. with a dif intake piping cause they had to convert it to fit on an 07 with the dif MAF.

really? damn why u gotta say that lol. well it is the turbo for the zpi kit isnt it. he said it has tial wastegate and BOV as well. i believe the zpi kit came with a HKS BOV didnt it. well since its got the same turbo as the zpi kit shouldnt it still operate right?
^^LOL...no man, I'm being for real. That's a Real ZPI kit...lol. I was not being sarcastic. I can spot a fake ZPI kit pretty easy. That one is not a fake.
Depending on when the kit was purchased, would determine if he got a Tial BOV or HKS. If memory serves me correctly, they were using Tial first, then switched to HKS.

o really good. im sure it will work. if my friend wants a dif one he can just get another one. my job is no help him get a kit and out of my own volunteer service help him put it on. do u think the welds will hold up as long as he runs under 5 psi until we can get him a piggyback and tune it?
