Someone needs to learn a few things about Boost and driving in VAC. You keep your foot out of the floor board, you can not boost the car PERIOD. You drive normal, and you don't hit boost. When you give it enough throttle input to come out of VAC, then you will hit boost by 2300rpm is the impression that Ben has reported. You can cruise the interstate at 80mph and never be in boost. It's called Vaccum (VAC).
yeah if you go WOT in vaccum in 5th gear on the interstate that puts a LOT of stress on your engine. in fact you DON'T WANT TO DO THAT.
the 2300 rpm happens in 1st , 2nd , 3rd etc.. when going from a stop. it may be a little early but honestly i haven't really checked. i'll update after saturday.

If I knew that toyota would've screwed me over on my warranty, I would have gone stage 0 rather than get the TRD Supercharger, but I made my choice.
BTW looks sweet, and gotta love the whoosh!

yep zpi kit is safe on an automatic they just suggest that you go with their upgrade to make the transmission safe for boost

Congrats Neb
I grew up in the Quad Cities about an hour from you. I miss all the open roads there to really let the car loose!!! I might have to check ur car out next time I visit. Rims are sick to by the way.
woah lot of questions here ok.

they just filled up some cheap oil to break in the turbo and to get me home. i am getting an oil change tomorrow with some mobile 1 synthetic.
i have an emange blue right now.
and its bad because at WOT you're valve body is sucking in air and you have a vaccum with the turbo so essentially youre creating stress at the manifolds and in the heads. Its not a big deal at such low boost but it does effect the length of your engine
now to t-mojod
this will get you started

essentially the exhaust gases spin the turbine of the turbo and sucks in air. the air coming into compresses and creats pressure (boost) this enters your engine making more power.
bc more air + fuel = more power

what can be done to not encounter that other then not smashing it.. what if i needed a quick burst??.. im asuming down shifting is out of the question... im guessing a slow push on the pedal would be better then smashing?

If i knew everything i wouldnt even ask or be here..
so FYI i asked to know cuz i'm starting to learn about turbo before i decide to det it... and thanks for letting me know.
So pretty much as long as i dont floor it boost will not engage ?
so pretty much

but if its an emergency you need to downshift
exactly rus. you will learn that at a certain pedal pressure you will start to feel the boost kick in (a boost gauge helps)
and no you can be at 3000 and not make boost but at wot at 3k rpm you will make boost. Make sense?
