Turbochargers.com Kenny and crew will be setting up shop for the next few months. Man, I keep forgetting pics. I need to get those. Waiting on my gauge pod, oil pressure gauge, injectors and boost controller so I can get to 250 at the wheels like I wanted. So I've been watching my AFR gauge while driving, and is it weird to be running really lean (14-15.5) while cruising and everyday driving? My WOT numbers are right around 12.5.

14-15.5 while crusing is not lean. in fact, if you want, you can run at about 16.5-17.5 while crusing for better fuel economy. as long as your afr's stay between 11-12.5 at wot, you should be fine.

OK, maybe when Kenny gets back in town I'll see if he can lean it out more for cruising, but he said I can't richen WOT down to 11.5 til I get bigger injectors. I gotta say that going stage 0 is not a good idea without going stage 1 to be safe... LOL. I mean I got the intercooler so it could run safer in 98 deg Houston temps, BOV to save the turbo, and now bigger injectors to richen up the fuel. Ended up spending the same to make a liquid cooled stage 1. I gotta say though, this car is waaayyy faster than stock, and I can't wait til I get the new injectors....

Yeah, normal is between 14.2 - 15.xx That's normal cruising A/F ratio's. Your still on Stock injectors, so yeah I would not tinker with the 12.5 setting. That's a really good setting by the way. If you richen it to 11.5, it's a little safer yes, but you will loose a little bit of power along with it.

Well maybe 12 would be a good place to be at. Can't do it either way til I get new injectors. Ever take your car to the track, rhythm?

Yeah, I've been a couple of times. My boy Louis with his Stage 0 goes to the 1/8th mile track all the time. Funny cause he is handing butt whoopin's left and right.

In his Stage 0, he has a list of kills ranging from:

At the Track
S2k
Turbo 240sx
Boss Mustang
Turbo Hatchback Civic
300hp Lexus

and a couple of other kills on the interstate.

Turbo Del Sol
WRX's
Ricers
etc...

1) Don't Dump the clutch, feather it out in first gear. Once you get good rolling, lay into the throttle then. You probably will still spin, but ride it out, and then change gears.
2) Practice Pre-loading by using the E-brake in the staging lane. Hold up the E-brake with your hand on the button so you don't lock it. Then let the clutch out some and start gassing it. You will feel the car pull forward, like it's leaning ready to go, but your holding it from launching because you are holding the E-brake. When go, drop the brake, and feather out the clutch and Go.
3) Power means Nothing without Traction. A good set of Drag Radials or ET Streets works wonders. I have yet to take the car to the track on a good set of DR's or ET Streets, so I have a good trap speed, but ET is lower due to lack of traction.

Practice this in a dead area, and once you get the hang of it, take your practice to the track and lay down some low 14's and if you are really good and got the tires to back it up, you should be seeing 13's too.

Dyno #'s are for bragging rights. One day you may see 210, and then a week later in different weather you may see 220. At the track, it's about the driver, traction, reaction, shifting skills, etc...

Here they are finally. I know it looks ghetto, but I aint trying to go to any car shows anytime soon.

Will get pics of the outside of the car, but it's very uninteresting. Just a black sand pearl with all TRD shocks, struts, springs and sway bars. Greddy front and rear tower braces. Exhaust is ZPI 2.5 with a cat and resonator all the way back to rear axle with a tsudo axle back that I plan on replacing cause the fitment is poop. Stock rims with falken 512's and getting axxis ultimates in a week.

That is looking good nychang. I like it man. All you need is some thermal coating on the mani, and just paint the pipes and you got one good looking machine.

Yeah. His setup inspired me to keep her stock looking. Ofcourse his engine bay is a work of freaking ART. Talked to Kenny and we're gonna add a reservoir tank in my trunk next to the spare so we can dump ice in the system.
