i know... but scott is talking about getting a built block, a large turbo, etc etc etc... 135 mph traps *might* be in his future. it depends on if he decides to stay @ stg 1.5 or go larger.

I would be doing a bunch of track days with the block and stae 1.5 in there. 135 would be nice, but a lot of work would need to be done!!

ZPI,
What kind of hp can I tweak the stage 1.5 and the low compression long block set up you sell? I am sure a phantom LSD, slicks, a roll cage and helmet are a must as well

Keep in mind you're assuming you have the OEM tire diameter and OEM rev limiter.

If you built the motor up enough to hit 135, chances are it can rev higher. A stand-alone or Greddy Ultimate will do that for you. Also running taller tires/slicks will get the car to do more than 135, even if the speedo only shows that.

Rythemandsmoke- I hope not too distant future. Trying to sell my show stuff off and get a good deposit down, and finance the rest. So, spring is what I am shooting for the system to be installed and tuned for the track. I know it will take some time to get everything all said and done. But I can't wait!!!

wow. Wasn't thinking all the big turbo guys would even get in on this debate.
This has turned into a good little information thread for us turbo noobs

The 1.5 kit is a great kit. Its mild enough for a Daily driver with some work done and extreme enough for the Drag guy. This kit gives you great potential down the road. Remember once boosted you are never happy with current power and are always looking for more. With this kit no need to upgrade when the power bug bites.

I knew you were teasing!

I wish the shoot out was closer to chicago. I'll probably just go to Joliet raceway and do some track times there.

I'd love to come to the shoot-out as long as everything permits. I think we'll be having our own as well here on the west side (southern AZ). Should be a fun year for everyone. Looks like we're all starting to really get along lol.

Time to set differences aside. It's gotten old. Time to have fun and race, winter is almost over.

Amen! Not sure bout the racing yet Rythm. We're doing drag, plus the addition of either road racing or auto-x. I'd much rather do road racing though, that's what I built my car for haha. I can get the inside rear wheel off the ground on corners now .

Anyway back on topic . Taller tires, and a higher rev limit, 10s here you come.

Looking to make a Road Race event near me soon, but probably in the 350Z and not the tC.

It's fun if you can get in the right class. Because of what I've done to my car I can't race in any national classes.

My class segment is regional IT-E. Anyone else in the same class? ITE stands for Improved Touring. Don't ask me about the E haha. I think it has something to do with it not having mod limits. It's bascially a class where anyone that modded too much to not place in a specific class. They all end up here. Either way, it should be some good competition.
