I am in the process of gutting my car and applying two layers of sound deadening material through the entire car (excluding the roof because you dont want to do that). I have taken my car apart and put 1/2 in my garage and 1/2 in my living room (with a cloth down).

Tips:
1. Worry about doors last, do entire rear panels leading into the trunk first.
2. Have about 2-3 full days or labor time available.
3. Think about switching speakers out with new ones at this time since the entire car is already taken apart.
4. Run any amp/sub wires at this tme.
5. Think about if you want to hard wire anything new while car is apart.

Take those few tips - I didnt know all of them before I started with this project but have learned from (in the process off) doing it once.

This isnt hard but is harder the first time since you havent taken these things apart before.
