Default 06 Stereo Specifications (6-Disc Changer) Question

I've been searching but I can't seem to find the info Im looking for. I really am trying to find out the:

RMS Power Output
Peak Output
RMS Power Bandwidth
Preamp Voltage

AND if there are any preamp outputs or AUX inputs on the 06 optional 6-disc HU for Scions. I'm pretty sure I read in another thread that the Peak output is 160 watts, but I can't seem to find any other info for this stuff. Right now, I'm thinking about swapping the factory HU in my Rolla for someone's unwanted 6-disc (06 model because it's got the dial and not the stupid button-push volume control) and buying some better speakers (component front, 6x9 3way rear).

Why you might ask? The Pioneer HU is pretty nice and I like the fact that I wont have to put in one of those ugly looking space fillers/HU holders since we have double din HU's. I'm really not interested in spending 1K-2K on stereo equipment so I thought this HU and some upgraded speakers would be the way to go.

I can't think off the top of my head of any other pertinent info I need regarding the HU to choose speakers, so if I'm missing anything, fill me in.

Does anyone have these specs im looking for???

The stock HU would be lucky to push 22 RMS per channel... realisticly, it's probably 12-17RMS per channel... 40x4 MAX output....

I'd stay away from any oval shaped speakers (5x7,6x8,6x9) because at higher excursion, it's more difficult for the oval cone to stay linear and they'll distort more easily because of this...

There aren't any pre-amp outputs or AUX inputs on the stock HU.... you'll need a line output converter...

No 6x9? My car came stock with 6x9 in the rear. I know alot of owners of my particular model that put new 6x9s in their ride. Are you saying this because of the HU power or??

With oval shaped speakers, the radius of the cone from the pole piece (center of speaker) to the outside edge isn't constant and therefore has different strengths depending on what part of the cone you're measuring... thus being, the cone isn't able to all move uniformly when being pushed hard and the weaker spots will ripple or distort causing an inaccuracy in the reproduction of sound...

Now is that mostly a high volume level or all the time? (because I don't know)

My stock 6x9's are ok, but I was hoping to upgrade to some Infinty Kappa 6x9 3 way or something of the like. I dont blast my music at high levels and I dont plan on getting a sub, I just wanted to make sure that the HU isn't huge power for speakers that cant handle it.

Like I said, Im not trying to spend thousands on a stereo setup, Im more concerned about spending it on going faster, but I would like to improve over the stock system in some small way

What car do you have that has stock 6x9's?

It's mostly at high volumes.... and also be careful getting the 3ways because they may be too harsh in the tweeters...

I suggest getting an inexpensive component set for up front (something with x/overs to tame the frequencies) and some coaxials in the back that match the comps (JL's TR series comes to mind)

I've got them in my 03 Corolla S

From 9thgencorolla.com:
AUDIO RELATED
Stock Rear Speakers: 6x9" (17.5W, 6ohm)
Stock Front Speakers: 6.5" (17.5W, 4ohm)
Stock Front Tweeters (S/XRS): 1-3/8" (2W, 4ohm)

I had planned on component up front but I hadn't looked at JL... Good tip
