08/09 OEM Subwoofer install question
So today i went to the CT auto show and was messing around with the 09 TC when i cranked the stereo, i noticed that it hit a lot harder then my stock system. So i got talking with the lady at the booth and she showed me the sub under the floor in the hatch next to the spare tire.
I have a 2006 what would have to be done to get an 08/09 sub in there (wiring, fitment, etc.). They are all over ebay for a pretty cheap price, around 100 dollars. I just want something stock/cheap and the placement is perfect so it doesn't take up any room.

Alright well my boss at work used to work at circuit-city doing this kind of stuff on cars (stereo installs). His concern is that there won't be a proper out on the back of the stock 05-07 stereos. From what i have gathered from pictures is that the stock radio in the 05-07 stereos don't have the same plugs than the upgraded 05-07 one with the color changing display along with the 08-09 head units. So I'm thinking at this point in time that you would need to upgrade your head unit to the 05-07 premium head unit or an 08-09 unit to do it. If you wanted to stay stock like I do.
I'm going to the dealer on friday and i will talk to the guy at the parts counter, he knows me pretty well. Maybe he has some input. If not all try and get a hold of a tech or someone that can answer my question, because like people are saying. The stock system sounds ok but with that OEM sub it sounds a whole lot better and its convenient if it is a stock upgrade with little to know need for rewiring.

The factory sub has a round connector that is wired with the bundle of wires for the tail lights. It contains the usual stuff for an amp/sub:
+12v constant (batt)
-12v ground (chassis)
+12v remote amp turn on

Your 07 probably doesn't have the harness for the stock sub. You would likely need to wire it yourself. It could certainly be done, but wouldn't be plug and play.
