Good morning,
I'm extremely uneducated in the art of installing stereos or anything really, into a car. I have a AVIC 700BT sitting here that i want to install but i have a question first.

With my purchase, i received one of these:

My question is, i want to install the stereo but keep the door - i know i need to drill the holes a little further back, that's fine, but do i need to use this kit? or do i need one of these: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1209582...t.html?tp=3121

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

i didnt use any install kit, but i think that second one will work the best, to cover the side gaps
