so my car is an 07. and i came across the stock 08 sub. its not much but its something!

now i have no idea how to hook it up to my stock radio. i have the harness that connects to the sub but not the one that connects to the back of the radio.

ive been searching for a bit and read some people were saying just to connect the wires to the speakers but they didnt give any specifics as to how or which wires connect with the others.

anyone have any input? or can point me in the right direction?

the harness that connects to the 08 subwoofer is not one you can just go out and buy from a dealer. but esentially it's a power wire, ground wire, remote wire, a positive wire, and a negative wire from one of the front speakers. you can make this harness yourself, buy just tapping the postive and negative wires at the headunit, and running a separate power and remote wire.

try checking out a local junk yard and see if you can try and pull a harness from an 08, or if you can't get the whole harness, atleast be able to cut off the connector.

if you are at all concerned with sound quality. you are better off selling that sub, and getting a real subwoofer. that subwoofer sounds aweful.

 

by chance does anyone know what colors the wires are?
