Hello Everyone, I just bought a new 08 Scion tC a few days ago, and love the car overall. However I have been having some weird experiences with the iPod controlls. I apologize if this is a re-post. It seems as if the head unit is not reading the ipod's index correctly. For the most part, it seems to work fine, but sometimes if I am searching by Album for example, when I select an album, it jumps me to a completely different album, and then when i push the multi selector up to go back a level, it brings be back to the beginning. At first I thought I was just not pushing the multi selector in directly and was pushing it up or to the side when I was pushing it in, but I have tried several times and always the same problem. With over 6,600 songs stored on my iPod, it is growing very annoying to get it to play what I want it to. Anyone have any suggestions?

 

Well, I have an 08 also, and have had the same gripe as you, but then I realized that I was hitting the multi selector button at the wrong angle more often than not. It seems as though you just have to get use to it, as much as it gets frustrating. I'm ready to wash my hands of the stock HU quickly.

yea.. same here. just got my '08 last week and i'm still trying to get the hang of pushing the button in the center without it scrolling up or down. kinda wish that they had a few extra buttons on the steering wheel, but oh well. i still love my car.
