haven't been on in forever, but have the oppourtunity to get two 10w3-D4's, and just wanted to see what you guys thought would be the better way to go.

i am currently running a nine.2 with one 11kv.3, wired to 4 ohm's at ~400watts.

would the two 10w3's, wired to 4 ohms at the same 400 watts, perform worse/the same/better than the 11kv.3?

see, that's what i'm thinking - but i'm more concerned that the nine.2 doesnt have enough power to push both JL's... is that incorrect?

 

the nine.2 has plenty of power... are you getting brand new version 3 W3's or used version 2 W3's??

cause you also have to think of the impedance of the sub woofers... and the version two's are DVC and the version threes are single voice coil.. so choose wisely...

 

they are the older versions.. 10w3-D4 is their official label.. you can wire them into 4 ohms, which is what it is at now with the 11kv.2 2ohm DVC i have now.

now i just need to figure out the website i used before to build my slot port box.. you just told it everything and it layed everything out for you! lol..
