Default 2009 Scion tC Climate Control issue..

Sorry if this isn't in the right place or if its already somewhere on here, I looked and couldn't find a thread that fit this issue. So my tC's Climate Control sometimes doesn't blow when I start the car. It'll kick on after going
over a few bumps though. When it's on its cold/hot as it should be. I thought it might of been a fuse or relay loose or fried so I checked them all and they're all ok, I replaced a few that looked worn but it still has the same issue.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Could you clarify a little more? Does the AC button light up when you press it? Do you feel air blowing as soon as you do? Or are you referring to the sound of the AC compressor turning on in the engine bay?

The AC button lights up. It just doesn't blow, until I hit a pothole or something to shake the car around. I can feel it passively blowing on whatever it's set to (hot/cold). When it does blow it's ice cold or hot, pending what it's set to. As far as I can figure the compressor is working, as is the switch. I'm thinking it has to be the blower motor or something electrical.

It sounds like the blower motor is failing. Our blower motor is underneath behind the glove compartment. You can open the glove compartment and unclip the sides of it by bending the sides in. This allows the pegs to come out of the track or hinge however you want to call it. And allows the glove compartment to drop down further. This is usually done to change the cabin air filter but can also let you see the blower motor assembly. Since you mentioned going over bumps causes the air to blow. A quick simple test would be is to turn up the air speed and check if you hear the blower motor turn on. If you don't give the blower motor assembly a good whack/thump with your hand/fist(don't hurt yourself make sure you have clearance in that area and no sharp edges) and see if the blower motor starts to run. If it does then you found the problem.

Does your fan have a filter? If not, debris can foul the squirrel cage and keep it from spinning. Hitting a bump might momentarily dislodge debris, which would account for your fan running momentarily. If it's not debris such as acorns, sticks, maple tree whirlybirds, etc, it might be an intermittent connection due to faulty wiring, connector and or your fan motor. Good luck finding the problem.
