I dont think so, but does my 09 tc have electronic stability control?

I know it has electronic brakeforce distribution but I'm not really perfectly clear on what that is.

No ESP or any other traction control on the tCs that I know of.

 

ESP isnt traction control, its stability control. Stability control is individual wheel braking and since our tc's have "electronic brakeforce distribution" I thought that might just be Toyota's name for ESP as every car maker calls it something different.

 

Stability/traction control are pretty similar - especially considering each automaker decides to make up different names for each of them.

But no, EBD is something totally different related just to braking.

It seems like it would be easy to go ahead and make EBD a full blown ESP program if they just added a control module. Add a yaw sensor and a program and we'd have ESP.
