So I recently purchased the Alpine Premium unit to put into my 2009 scion tC and I had a few questions:

1.)If i just put it in and connect all the plugs that I can I should get radio, cd, steering wheel controls, speakers, and the stock sub under the spare tire working, right?

2.)In order to keep the door I need to recess the stereo further in. Does anyone know about how far back I need to drill new holes so I can keep the door?

3.)If I order part number 86190-53040 what exactly do I get and will it allow me to use USB/Aux without any modifications? I have read that this is only the adapter piece that plugs in to the arm rest and that I still need to order a cord to connect this to the radio. I have also read that this does not work without modifications such as pin relocation and shaving down the plastic connectors to get them to go together (the ones on the cord and the back of the stereo)

Any and all help would be appreciated. I have been reading this thread and the one by Alpine Dave and I keep reading conflicting views and such so I am wondering what I need. Thanks in advance for the help.

I know this thread has been inactive for a while, but it seems to be the only one that provides a clear explanation that is way different than the one offered by Alpine Dave. So help me out if guys can.
