did you just start that project today? is that wire mesh behind the painters tape to conform the shape? looks like something i'd like to try. i've fiberglassed a few times before, and have an idea in mind. i just need to find time

Second...yeah...just started on the sides of the box.

Used some screen we had lying around to get the shape of the pocket that I made

 

glassing looks like some crazy shiznit. Never done it...hell I've never even seen anyone do it. I just have seen the final results. Looks like a pain in the ****...is it?

 

glassing isnt that hard at all actually, the two hard parts are conforming the shape you want, and getting all the pin holes and inperfections out when you are done.

i still cant wait to see this thing complete

 

Only upside down...or if you mix it hot and it starts setting before you get it down...other than that it's cake.

I've got 2 layers of glass over the passenger side, and tried doing big 3 last night...which killed 3 hours of my night. Silly Scion hiding the grounding locations

 

Its funny how they mount everything. Some things are put together very smart, so the alt, compressor, starter, etc are super easy to get to, yet the grounding sucks to find. And the fuse box under the dash is in the dumbest position imaginable!

 

Yeah....one of the grounds is totally inaccessible from what I can tell...the other just required a lot of patience w/ the wrench and twisting my hands in odd positions
