A few extra layers on those and they'll be attached tonight.

I also glassed up the rear piece of the hatch, needs some touching up before I take a pic...too many layers = some dry glass on the backside

Agreed. Stood next to a car hitting around 155 and couldn't imagine being inside of it.

 

i wanna get my set up db tested just to see. i would guess 129 or so.

Don't want to misalign the corner pieces I think 6 layers bonding them is sufficient

 

hey, if you have the time, could you post up a little fiberglassing How-To? My 2 cu ft sub box is getting heavy and I want to make a fiberglass enclosure to cut the wieght down.

 

unless your box will be form fitting youll want to stay with MDF.

Fiberglass is pretty weak in large flat surfaces. You can make it strong enough but youll be back to the weight of an mdf box or close to it

What did you do with the gas door release cable on the driver's side there? It usually comes around the rear wheel and goes to the cap through where you glassed. Did you just glass over top of it?

 

Oh crap.

I forgot to show that one.

I pulled it all back into the hatch.

The rerouted it through the quarter panel space above the wheel well, and back down the car.

Worked great

 

The pressure is on....will he have it done by Saturday?
