Default Aftermarket Stereo HELP!

I had the pioneer DEHP3800 head unit installed about a month ago with ipod adapters PXP01 & CDRB10. I also got the newest gen 60GB ipod. However, today while driving to work, it started skipping. Yes, mp3's SKIPPING! WTF?? The ipod like locks up after a minute or so and plays a split second, pauses, plays a split second, pauses, etc, ad absurdum. I unplugged the ipod from the deck and put in my headphones. Plays fine with no issues. I plug it back into the deck. Still freezes up. Anyone with an ipod have any frickin' clue as to what the F is going on?!

Update:
Problem is not with the ipod but with the stereo head unit. What the problem is, I have no freaking idea. Please help!

You will need to reset your Ipod. Go to www.apple.com/support and they have many FAQ's in doing so. Just reset the Ipod as said and then update it with all your songs again should work as good as new.

uhhhh.... it works fine with headphones. how would resetting it do anything? you have any idea how long/frustrating it is to redo 50+gigs of mp3's?

I didn't read that part and yes I would know how fricken annoying it would be considering I have TWO 60 GB Ipods Full. Based on two computers one is Mainly videos and One is Mainly songs. To continuously update each is very intriguiging as well as infuriating. With that in mind i know the Ipod is a harddrive based component so I would say your last option is to call Apple directly to possibly review any FAQ's based on this or possibly start a new scenario. They will have the most help.

I have also read about updating it to the newest OS. That might help.

Try doing the hard reset. Search google to far hard resetting ipod and it should come up with it. You don't have to re-add the songs onto the ipod, It just clears up the system, but the songs are still there.

This may sound stupid, but is your iPod charging while its plugged into the HU. I know what the CDRB10 adapter connects to. What does the PXP01 connect to? I thought I had to reset my iPod. Turns out the battery was dead/very low. Just had to charge it.

ok well i tried my ipod plugged into my computer and just with headphones alone and it works fine. i was messing around with my stereo and apparently it does the same thing with the cds and the radio even. Whenever i put the volume above 30 or so (out of 60) it cuts out and freezes cds and the ipod and the radio volume scratches out to practically nothing. Once I lower it below 20 it comes back after a few seconds.

So obviously this is really an issue with the stereo head. Could maybe there be loose wiring behind the unit or maybe a lack of power coming from the car battery/amp? some kind of feedback problem? any ideas?

Got the stereo fixed finally. Turns out a wire fell off one of my door speakers and was shorting out the system on the frame of the car. At least it was free and got my thumpin' back!
