Default AHHHHHHH I want to make sure i get this right.

I have all the parts needed to do my gauge and HVAC swaps, but the only thing i am having problems with... is that i cannot grasp the concept of how LCD screens are going to work. i want my swap to look like

but i'm not sure how i need to mount the LEDs and the the polarized film to make it look like that. I plan on doing my swap in couple days and don't really have the time to do a lot of trial and error to get it right, so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I've read a ton of DIY on here see if i could find anything but all i found was that you can rotate the polarizing film to change the background, but i still don't know how to change the numbers on the LCD from black to white. Gah i don't want to mess this up >< [/img]
