Its all good now he's in hiding, when he was arguing with me he was very persistence and now he's gone....
He also said
"Sparco Milano 2" each seat cost MSRP of $989 each from their website and their seats are covered with ALCANTARA
He also said
why do you think real recaros cost 650+ bucks and alcantara fakes cost less then 400
Just a note, my $900+ new Sparco Milano 2 seats come wrapped in Alcantara. Alcantara was designed to hold up many times better than standard suede which is why it is used so much in automotive applications. Quality varies and Alcantara is just a generic name for ultrasuede which is a synthetic suede. As with anything, it can be done cheap and crappy an crappy material used, or it can be done to the extreme.
a buddy of mines is300 has alacantara seats. they are COMFY. and soft. and DONT get hot. i know because it would sit in the sun all day at the shop. then we'd climb in to go get food. and it would be room temp, even in the hot car. then cool down when the a/c went on. and all that extra fancy no stains, and odors thingy. i love that stuff. i wish i had money and someone to sell me their rs2 seats. id buy them.

hmm... wow.... i missed a bit of yelling... seems that everything turned out great and someone got pwned for trying to be a know-it-all.
anyway.... that $1K i mentioned was for all the seats.. including the rear passenger...
granted i could put that money towards better seats that are actually made for racing and such.. but hey.. the point of the thread is how much were people willing to spend.. or in my case.. how much i thought it should be worth.
my statement still stands... alcantara seats rule.

I think $1K is well worth it for front and rear man. Well worth it. You would have to spend that many times over to have a real quality aftermarket set, and to have the back seat wrapped.
The only way I'm selling my seats is if I have a good run at Vegas and buy some Recaro Sportlines in matching Alcantara.
However, if you care to make an offer to help me reach my goal....

one thing that bothers me about the seats is that there is no rear pocket thing on the back of the seats....not sure if its normally there or not.... but besides that, love them! Would never get leather - too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter. 1K is probably a good price for them I think?? Not sure
