^^ The radio in person actually makes the HVAC look less white. This picture does throw you off, but the radio is "whiter"

P.S. I did not mod this HVAC unit. I only did the radio.

Well, these LED's are the smallest LED's made. They make the LED's for the gauges VERY easy!

Just for perspective purposes, here is a picture I took of the factory radio board, done with LED's. The white LED is for the gauges, and that needle thing is my 1/64" soldering iron tip. And there is a dime.

Regarding finding someone to do it, send me a message.

yeah.. those 0603's are insanely small. (2mm!!!!).... i got some tweezers.. but i would really like some hot ones...
(for those who don't get the reference.. there is actually a soldering tool specifically made to solder smd components called hot tweezers)

heres more pics someone posted up awhile ago as to how small they really are.

Woo my pictures do come in handy! Yea, I changed mine all to red. I just used a normal soldering iron and some solder wick. I've seen some vids of ppl doing xbox 360 controller led mods, where they just tin the tip of the iron with a big glob of solder, enough to heat both sides of the led at the same time, and then just wipe the led off the board. Never tried that tho. Here's a link to the vid:

Yea, I've done a bunch of those for the xbox and the 360, and I've also done the controller ports for the xbox, and the eject button light.

quick question, im still new to the whole LED thing and i have a friend that is doing this mod for me, but my question is do the 0603 leds come in anything higher than like 60 mcd?
To my understanding is the higher the mcd the brighter the LEDs are. My cluster and center part are like 150 mcd and i just thought that with 60 it would be much darker. I found this
http://stores.ebay.com/LED-LAMP_SMD0...QQftidZ2QQtZkm
on ebay very cheap for the LEDs but just a low mcd, so i did not know if they made them any higher.
Also where were people able to find the leds they used are they the same mcd?
Any info would be great, thanks.

Here are the specs for the 0603 LED's I use.

White - 1200MCD
Blue - 300MCD
Red - 300MCD
Green - 500MCD

If you want some, let me know. I have lots.
