the daytons are starting to look like a choice, i like the idq's but i cant seem to find a place that has them for an affordable price. I still need to find an amp to run all this though

the 1000 watt pdx would be great on two of the daytons. 500 a piece would be great for them.

Agreed, my single 10 is getting 600wRMS from my PDX1.600 and sounds great! And I know it's not seeing anywhere near the full 600 watts even when I'm pounding on it.

same here, mines on 620watts rms. my amp has a clip light that tells you when the 620 watts has been met, i have seen it just barely light up, and when it just barely starts to light up thats on transient peaks, so it's not really even rms. they don't need much to get loud, especially in a small cabin like the tc.

these only make good power at 1 ohm though, correct?

2 of the daytons can only be wired to 2 ohms, being that they are single 4 ohm coil subs.

Budget amp: Lanzar 2000w 2ch amp - I had this powering 2 12" Type-R's and... for 150$ totaly worth it! A little sloppy on the very low notes but hit freakin hard! Amp was beat on for 2 years and was still going strong when i sold it.

yea, but they are very efficient. i had a Treo SSi ten on a Kicker ZX750.1 at 2 ohms, swapped out to the Dayton (which is definitely not as badass sounding on paper as the SSi) using the same amp and the Dayton had VERY similar output getting about half the power. and of course it sounded much much better.

if you (the op), are going to get two of the dayton ho's then get an amp that makes around 800-1200 watts at 2 ohms. a pdx 1000 would be good, kicker zx1000 would be good, there are plenty of others as well. i just don't have any names coming to mind at the moment. just stay away from lanzar or hifonics or boss or crunch.

seriously, ditch the 2 subs, and go with 1 nice powerful sub. i had 2 10s, 2 12s, and now i have 1 12" fi q and its louder than both of my old set ups. and i still have tons of trunk space.

if you are looking to listen to music at a realistic level, then most single sub setups would be fine. especially in a smaller car thats all open like the TC.

Beware, a 12 inch box in the tC may not work in the trunk with the sub standing vertically. My 10" box nearly hits the trunk lid. Another 2 inches and it probably wouldn't close. You may have to fire up or use an angled mount.

Fi.Q's only come in 12, 15, and 18. You would have to go with an Fi.BL
