Amp gain knob?
So i have this amp..

JL Audio e1200 Rated Power at 12.5 V: 1 x 120 Watts
Im looking for a gain **** i can keep up by me to control the bass and the one i got doesnt do anything so i returned it. Gain **** as in no bass to full bass. Can anyone give me some help and help me find a universal one or the one that can go with it.

You'll need a second pair of short RCAs to go from the HU to the input on the gain control, then hook your existing RCAs to the gain's output.

And i looked for RCAs and i found some that look like they would go into the pre-outs on the amp but is that where they go?
And where do they go on the HU
