Default Amp Install

I have a friend who just gave me a Alpine MRP-M350 amp and a 12' Pioneer sub. I've never done an audio install before, but have done other electrical work on my TC. It all looks pretty straight forward, but I'm not sure where to place the amp. I'd prefer not to drill into the seats or chassis... I saw an install where the amp was placed in the styrofoam under the trunk mats, that looks like the easiest but I'm worried about the amp overheating. Will a 350W amp put out enough heat to damage itself underneath the trunk mat? I'm willing to take any other suggestions you guys might have as well, thanks!

It might, safest thing to do is add a couple of 120mm fans to it. That's what I did. Just head up to your electronic store, 120mm fans work off 12v as well. I currently have a 500W and 350W amp in the trunk, on top of the mat and they haven't overheated yet.
