Default Amplifier Location Ideas

I'm going to be installing both an amp for my subwoofer and a multi-channel amp for the midranges soon. I'd like for the amps to be completely out of sight to retain a "as much stock as possible" appearance. If people would post pictures of their install locations and maybe some tips on how to access these areas I'd appreciate it.

Note: I would love to keep the spare tire also, so if there are ideas that involve leaving this in place, that would be ideal, but any posts are appreciated! Thanks.

Kidwolf posted this in my thread a couple days ago.
The amps are right under the stock flooring on the right side.

Hope that helps.

you could do this minus the cutout.....just simply build and amp rack that will give ya clearance to still put your cover on....its just a matter of measuring....good luck man...

I like that idea, Uyles. I have the stock 6" sub there, but I could pull it out and build a frame to mount them in in that location probably. That seems like it would work the best. Or perhaps the front seats, but that has the possibility of being kicked/tampered with.

If I wanted to go for the stealthy look, I'd put it there for sure.

^^ x2. That's where my amp is but it doesn't look as pretty as Yanki01's.

With the amp in there, does it sit underneath the surface of the floor cover, or is there a bulge? That's a good idea if I only had one amp to put in though.

I love how half of the examples shown are the complete opposite of what the OP asked for.

Your best bet is to try and install it under the cargo mat. Yanki's example would be optimal if the mat sat flush. If not, it looks like it could be recessed into the tire some more.

My is actually ghetto'd out...

I've just been too lazy to cut and wrap a stand/shelf for it. I have no heating issues either.
You could put one amp in the spare and one to the side in the foam as shown earlier.
