i believe there is a write up in the tech section

if not - what you'll need to do is set up a clutch bypass so that your remote start will start the car, as if the clutch is in.

on the other hand. you'll have to leave your car in neutral, so you never start it in gear and *WHAM!* hit the cars around you (many ppl have stories on this one)

this was posted before btw.

by the look of your q - you're trying to prevent the car from starting if it is in gear and you forget?

you could use a Reed switch (which is the home alarm magnet you mentioned) and place two of them around the shift mechanism, or in place where you leave your car in gear (usually 1st).

Theres a few companies tha tmake them for manual vehicles like compustart.

When you park the car and pull up the e-brake the remote start activates and keep the car running. You take the key out as the car keeps running and get out of the car. Once you shut the door the car turns off knowing that the car was running and all the doors were shut it will start up for you. But if you open a door before the car is remote started it wont start for you.

get a compustar or arctic start alarm system. i have it on my tc now and my last one too. works with the manual without needing any extra sensors, things, or whatever. the remote start on the one i have now works 1.25 miles away, and only works if the car is shut down with it in neutral and the e-brake on. if the car isn't in neutral and the e-brake isn't active, then the car won't remote start.
