Default Anyone Here Done Floating Amp Racks?

I'm thinking of reworking the mounting scenario for my amps and wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas or suggestions on how to do it in a tC hatch. I've got a PG Tantrum 1200.1 and a Tantrum 300.2 to contend with. I was thinking of either one in either side of the hatch area, or both towards the front, right as you open the hatchback. I was hoping someone here might have some pics or suggestions on how to build amp mounts for this scenario.

I think the first question is........are you going to devote your whole trunk to your system?

Are you going to keep your stock sargo cover?

Do you have to keep the amps visible? (cuz there is a ton of space on the sides behind the carpet)

Are you using mdf strictly, or are you comfortable using fiberglass? How bout plexiglass?

as far as the trunk area, i'd like to leave some room in the middle for cargo space. ideally, i'd like to use MDF to create some kind of floating amp racks or compartments on either side of the trunk (areas behind the tail lights) and then the sub box would be up against the rear seats facing towards the hatch. I'm trying to keep the overall project under $200. I'd love something fiberglass, but I just don't have the resources for that kinda thing.

Ok, do you have to see the amp? Because the easiest thig to do is to mount the amp's to the back or top of the sub box.

I have mine floating 1/2" front and 2" rear hahaha Cannot see the mounts anyways so it is sorta floating. I plan to raise it to 1" front and 3 rear soon. Do not wanna go to high with it.

that's kind of what i had in mind; just a short-floating stand for each amp so when you open the hatch, they're at a decent angle...maybe like 20-35 degrees. i guess i'll use some foam to mock up the sizes of the amps and play around with this idea when i get home from work. Garage, do you have pics of your install? i'd love to get some ideas of what people have out there.

It is hard to tell the angle... but looks just right in person.
