Default anyone kno how 2 take a guide plate off an automatic

i am trying to make a leather booty to make it look lik a stick but i need to get the guide plate off so it hangs freely. if anyone knows how to take it off that would b awesome

I did that to my tC already... but I broke something off... All you do is to pull on the guide plate only, put your fingers between the black and the guide plate.. there were 4 clips i think... the thing i broke is the manual overdrive button... i am not sure wt effect it will have, but i like the shift boot along with the ebrake boot!!

some family members don't know how to drive a manual... I wanted to get a manual but.. anyways...

I"ll tell em its shifting by itself.. .. o wait.. thats the same as it being an automatic.. lol. Guess i cant say i'm still in first gear at 60mph now huh

Or you can lie and say it's the Scion tC version of the BMW SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox). Most M5s are automatic and have the SMG shifter and/or the paddle shifters above the steering wheel.

^ my friends 3 series looks like a manual cuz it has a boot. Im not doing it to pose or anything, I jus wan it to look clean.

also, wat if some 1 asks me where is my clutch? haha . . .

the only thing i worry about is im here manual tc's have gotten stolen cuz they get pushed in neutral.

at least hell be surprised haha
