Hey, this is my first post on these forums. Usually I'm just here to read and what not, but since im going to be buying something major I was wondering if i can get some help. As the topic reads, i'm looking for the eclipse avn-5435. I've read several reviews on here and on CF, compared it with other models such as the D1 and the 5495. I'm looking for something basic, and not too much on the wallet. So I'm hoping anyone on here can help me out and throw me some prices, especially to those that bought the item. One poster had claimed he got the item for 1000 plus 100 for installation (3 yr warranty). I tried calling the store he bought it at and it they said it's for 1299.99 and 100 for installation. i got mine at circuit city for $1399 and i signed up for a new circuit city card to get 10% off (ask them if its new, they wont offer it), and i got no interest til 2008! The rebate mentioned must be new since I got it few weeks ago. Dang!
