Default Anyone rocking an Elemental Designs box?

I'm wondering if anyone has or has heard the Side Mount SQ 10 Enclosure for a tC? The box that goes under the carpet, completely hidden? I'm wondering how it performs, and if it's worth the buy?

oh yeah, what's the diff. between 2 and 4 voice coils? I'm a completely woofer neophyte.

I've never heard anything from eD personally.

the 2 or 4 is the impedance of the voice coils. that sub only has one voice coil, so you can only wire a single sub one way. that sub doesn't require too much power, but if you need to get more output from your amp you can run at 2 ohms instead of 4, theoretically doubling your output power (watts). you have to be sure your amp can take it, though. some amps are not stable with a 2 ohm load.

i have made a replica side mount box with the sq10 as well as heard a actual eD side mount box with a sq10. im surprised how much this little sub can do. i think its worth buying if you really need ur trunk space or just looking for something to help boost the bass. its not a sub that you can feel from the outside tho.

is it possible to just buy the eD Side Mount Enclosure, and use another sub of my choice, like this one that i am thinking about:
Pioneer TS-SW2541D 10 in Shallow Subwoofer, powered by the Pioneer GM-3300T 300W 2-Channel Amplifier

I have two 10" MTX tens in a bandpass right now that sounds pretty good. I just think I'd like the space and it being hidden. Sounds like I should stick with the 2x10' giddup I've got now.
