Default Audio question.

I have a RS5 tC and was thinking of replacing the head unit with an AVIC-U310BT. The stock head unit says it has an output of 160 watts and the AVIC-U310BT says its RMS is 50 watts. Will i hear a difference? Would i need to get an amp? (I like the sound of the stock system just want a different head unit.)

160 might be the MAX output. RMS is probably more around the 50-70 range. An amp isn't a need until you start running subs or just more speakers period.

fyi.. it's 50W per channel and the output is already pre-amped.
