i think it locks when you unlock it and dont open the door for like 30 seconds
it locks itself back...
but i wish it would lock if i accidentally forget to lock it when leaving...
but thenagain i could lock my keys in the car...
lol...
have a nice day

The OP was talking about auto lock after starting the car. Mine doesnt lock, and I don't see why it should or how it'll bother you.

You are talking about auto lock after you leave the vehicle. This actually can be done, at least mine can be done. There are a whole set of weird things you have to do, like lock and unlock the door 3 times within 10 seconds, open the door once, shut it, turn on ignition, etc. weird protocol. So the end result is, after the key leaves ignition and the door opens and closes, 30sec later, all doors will be auto locked.

My car comes with scion security tho, not sure if it can be done with other cars.

I definitely need this 30sec lock, I forget things a lot, dont want to lose my navi, dimming mirror or anything else.

I think you are out of luck. I think it only applies to cars with scion security.

to enable auto lock feature after u take key off and open then close the door, this is what you have to do

1. open driver's door, close passenger side door and hatch, unlock all doors with the inside lock button(the switch next to window control), remove the key
2. insert and remove the key from the ignition 3 times within 5 seconds
3. complete the following steps within 40 secons
a. close driver's door
b. lock and unlock all doors 3 times by remote control
c. open and close the dirver's door
d. lock then unlock the driver's door inside lock **** 3 times(refering to the lock **** with red piece right next to the handle to pen the door, NOT the lock/unlock button next to window control)
e. open the dirver's door
f. the system should lock the door in 2 seconds. (if this doesnt happen, start over)
g. unlock the driver's door ****
(from a-g has to be finished within 40seconds)
4. close then open the driver's door 5 times
5. lock then unlock the driver's door inside lock **** 1 time
6. the system locks the door in 2 seconds. (if this doesnt happen, start over)

now your car is set to auto lock 30 seconds after you leave the car
you can turn this feature off by repeating all steps but in step 4, instead of close and open 5 times, do 2 times, that will turn off the auto lock function

again, I really don't think this will work with cars without scion security, but you can surely try. gl
